1. DISCUSS WITH YOUR LINE MANAGER
Before you apply, please have a conversation with your line manager. Their approval is needed to progress your application. Managers are encouraged to support reasonable moves, so don't hesitate to talk about your plans.
If you're still on probation, you'll normally need to complete this period first, unless the new opportunity aligns with your development plan or your current role has changed significantly.
If you've applied for the same role before but weren't successful, you'll need to wait at least three months before reapplying, unless you can demonstrate clear development or additional skills since your last application.
2. SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION VIA EPLOY
We ask that all applications are made formally through this portal. Remember, an interview is not guaranteed, so make sure you put the effort into your application - highlighting relevant skills and explaining why you’re a strong candidate.
3. INTERVIEW STAGE
If you're invited to interview, your line manager should allow you time away from your regular duties to attend. If the interview is taking place during working hours, let your line manager know before confirming.
4. FEEDBACK
If you're unsuccessful, you'll receive feedback to help you with your development. Share this with your manager, they should be able to help update your personal development plan.
5. RECEIVING AN OFFER
Your offer will be made by the hiring manager once they have spoken to your current line manager. Once everything is agreed, you'll be given a start date and may need to complete some electronic forms if a new contract of employment is being issued.
